Starting his career in the support of in-house systems, Andrew moved his career into the design and implementation of Internet systems and security solutions. Spending four years working in a large UK consultancy, Andrew has taken his knowledge in Internet systems and developed considerable skill in security consultancy and penetration testing. Andrew has previously passed the CESG IT Health CHECK “assault course” and spent a seven years undertaking IT Health CHECKs as a CHECK Team Leader.

    Andrew is the Lead Consultant for a number of SRM’s public and private sector clients including both government departments and commercial businesses (covering the gaming, travel, banking and retail sectors) carrying out a range of projects including PCI DSS Assessment, ISO 27001 Certification, Penetration Testing & Drafting RMADS (Risk Management and Accreditation Document Set).

    Callum joined SRM in January 2017. He has 5 years’ IT experience, having specialised in SAN / NAS storage. He successfully completed his FdSc Computer Forensic degree at Newcastle College in 2014, which provided him with experience within EnCase, FTK Imager, Chain of Custody and a great insight into the world of digital forensics.

    His role within SRM is to provide management and support of the core SRM IT Infrastructure (including application management and delivery of projects as appropriate). Callum is highly motivated and works diligently in the Forensics team, following a training development plan to become a qualified forensic analyst.

    Colin served as an operational police officer for 30 years, conducting investigations in the Home Counties and throughout the Metropolitan Police district in London. Between 1996 and 2007 Colin worked with the Northumbria Police computer crime unit. Colin has previously worked as an acknowledged expert in the field of computer forensics with the European Network and Information Agency based in Crete.

    Colin lectures on the forensic degree course at Northumbria University and has provided training to the anti-corruption commissions of Nigeria, Zambia and Malawi and similar inputs to police officers from North Africa, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

    On completion of his placement, Alistair is now a Forensic Analyst and works part-time in parallel with his final year studies.

    His main areas of responsibility at SRM involve conducting forensic investigation, assisting with forensic imaging, and maintaining vital administrative records. This guarantees any exhibits are correctly registered to the highest standard. Alistair’s work is a combination of forensic and PCI investigations.

Alongside this she conducted third party information security risk assessments on behalf of one of the UK's financial regulatory authorities. Melanie has also worked on secure accounts, providing advice and guidance on compliance, conducted internal audits, investigated information security incidents and produced remediation plans. In addition to that, she has been responsible for creating and delivering education and awareness materials for information security and data protection. Melanie holds ISO 27001 Lead Auditor certification as well as CISMP (Certificate in Information Security Management Principles) and has ISO 27001 Implementation and ISO 27001 Internal audit experience.

Alan was responsible for the start-up development of the unit to a team of 26 staff responsible for the capture and analysis of all types of digital media including computers, mobile phones and CCTV.

    Alan is a vastly experienced Computer Forensic Analyst with a comprehensive background in dealing with all aspects of digital media. Alan has examined hundreds of digital devices submitted for analysis and from these compiled extensive reports, which are then tendered to the courts. He has a high success rate in determining the true account of movement and acquisition of media. His experience and presentation of evidence have been acknowledged by the courts and, as a consequence, has received commendations for his work.

    Dean joined SRM in January 2016 with a background in software development and programming. Dean holds a BSc in Applied Computing, and for the 8 years prior to joining SRM, held Technical Advisor and Software Developer roles for BT and a North East based payment solutions provider.

    Dean is a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and is currently working towards OSCP accreditation.

    Ryan has worked with SRM since 2013, and is the designer behind the current 'look and feel' of the SRM website and portals. His specialty is the design and build of websites to the very latest standards and styles. For over 10 years, he has produced web portals in HTML and CSS using W3C compliant accessible code and graphics, tailor made for developers to pick up and adapt easily into their data frameworks for dynamic website production.
