Tales of the Unexpected at this year's BCI World Conference

SRM would like to extend a personal thank you to all our clients who attended this year's BCM World Conference and Exhibition. It was the perfect opportunity to meet and discuss your Business Continuity planning.

It was also the perfect opportunity to show just how unpredictable life can be and how to deal with change because with less than 24 hours to go before the start of the conference, SRM's very own James Royds was asked by the BCI to deputise for Sir Bob Geldof and open the conference with a keynote address.

Another PCI Lunch Seminar is on the horizon...

After the initial success of our free PCI DSS Lunch Seminar (held in association with Baronscourt) we are in the midst of preparing a follow up! Due to the popularity of the original event , the follow up will likely take a similar format and cover similar subject areas: primarily PCI DSS and information security. Two dozen decision makers (with responsibility for PCI compliance and information security) attended the original event representing a good cross-section of companies and organisations including: Sainsbury's, BetFair, Virgin, British Telecom, the London Borough of Ealing, the Royal College of Physicians and Cancer Research UK.

It was an open question and answer session chaired by Stephen Brown (MD SRM) and keynote speakers Branko Lolich (formerly of Mastercard) and Paul Brennecker (formerly of Barclaycard, now with SRM). Attendees had submitted their questions prior to attending but were also free to ask the speakers any question relating to PCI DSS and information security during the course of the lunch (naturally, the Chatham House rule applied).
