SRM launch the North East Cyber Security Business Cluster

Date: February 18, 2015

At an event hosted by Newcastle College on 12th February 2015, SRM’s Brian Fenwick launched the North East Cyber Security Business Cluster. The cluster will run in sync with the North East Cyber Security Forum, a partnership between SRM, Northumbria Police and the North East Fraud Forum to provide an advice and discussion arena for all North East based organisations, but particularly private organisations.

The North East Cyber Security Cluster is a Government and industry led partnership which will look at how the region can develop the skills and infrastructure to combat cyber security threats.

Membership of the cluster is free of charge and all members are invited to regular meetings to hear speakers, and take part in networking and discussion. The cluster is managed independently to other regional clusters, but collaborate and communicate through the UK Cyber Security Forum to ensure all members are represented on a National level and also that opportunities and best practice are shared across all clusters.

If you are an SME working in the North East and have any questions or are interested in becoming a member (it is free), please contact us to be kept informed of future meetings and events.
