Even auditors feel the pressure to impress when they get audited!
Although it’s part of our consultants’ remit to live and breathe audits and compliance, it never stops being a thrill to pass certifications of our own. Indeed, the seal of approval from an external eye offers invaluable peace of mind and reassures us that we are demonstrating high standards for quality across our business.
So, we are delighted to report that we have once again gained our ISO 9001 certification for quality management systems. The accreditation demonstrates our ability to consistently meet customer expectations and drive standards for excellent service delivery. It also complements our ISO 27001 certification for the effective management of information security risks, reflecting our competence in handling assets such as financial information, intellectual property, employee details and information entrusted by third parties.
As a business, SRM is, of course, familiar with the weight carried by ISO certifications in opening up tendering and procurement opportunities, benchmarking progress within an organisation and building trust with customers and supply chains.
For a team used to auditing other organisations, progressing through our own accreditation process is always a helpful reminder of how the experience feels as the group of employees under the microscope. And we like to think that this helps to contribute towards our efficient but empathetic approach to consulting for others.
Offering his thoughts on the news that we had achieved ISO 9001 certification with zero non-conformances or OFIs, Chief Operating Officer, James Hopper said:
